hotel firenze rimini "Art, Culture and Hinterland" Following the traces of a rich cultural and artistic tradition, we suggest some enchanting travel routes through our hinterland.

Rimini Rimini Located in the centre of Italy with excellent connections to all European cities, Rimini has become a symbol and the ideal location for diversified tourism. Rimini old and modern, popular und cultural, grand and industrious has long been praised and immortalized by that great master of the Italian cinema, Federico Fellini, who through his art made the legend known throughout the world.
San Marino San Marino 750 meters high, in the world’s oldest and smallest sovereign state, that has defended its freedom and independence for centuries, you are already in a foreign country. On Mount Titano the contours of San Marino’s three towers (“la Guaita, la Cesta und il Montale”), symbol of the Republic, can be seen jutting up above the community, with its remarkable history and philatelic and numismatic tradition that is esteemed worldwide.
San Leo San Leo In the heart of the Valmarecchia Valley, on a hill 600 meters high stands San Leo, the historical capital of the Montefeltro. In addition to its fortress, parish church and cathedral, San Leo is also famous for the mysterious and fascinating "alchemist", Count Cagliostro, who was held prisoner in the fortress, where he died in 1795.
Gradara Gradara A classica old hamlet encircled by a long wall, where the impressive and pitturesque castle, a superb example of military architecture, borders the medieval centre. The castle was built by the Malatestas between 1307 and 1325 and was later restored several times. According to the saga, it was here in Gradara, the house of the Malatestas, that the romantic tragedy of Paolo and Francesca unraveled and which was reported by Dante Aligieri: "Trembling lips kissed mine".
Santarcangelo Santarcangelo An entrance to times past, a rather strange village, a pearl in the Valmarecchia of the poets: This is Santarcangelo! The poets of the "Circal de giudeizi" (Circle of the Gifted) meet here with their leader Tonino Guerra. Musts to visit: the stronghold of the Malatestas, the Capucin Monastery, the old fishmarket, the arch, the square dedicated to Papa Ganganelli, the "mysterious" sandstone caves, and the artisan shops specializing in wrought ironwork and ferric oxide printing.
Montefiore Montefiore In Valconca, the castle of the Malatestas of Montefiore dominates all other monuments and is a typical, imposing example of a fortified summer residence built by the rulers of the era. Absolutely worth seeing: the Curina Gate in the city wall, the 13th Century well in the courtyard, the 14th Century frescos, the exhibition of contemporary art and the paleontological collection.
Saludecio Saludecio The entire layout of the town is impressive, with its Marina and Montanara Gates, its pitturesque Malatestan walls and bullwark enclosing the historical medieval centre, as well as the inner streets with antique palaces. Two events not to be missed in summer are the "Salus Erbe" for lovers of the good life and natural foods, and the "Ottocento Festival".
Torriana Torriana Torriana is reached after a drive up from Poggio Berni. Here two high towers stand grandly on the cliffs above the village spread over the lower Valmarecchia Valley. From Torriana a single road leads to the medieval hamlet of Montebello and its splendid castle.
